Q: What parts of the ear do you pierce?
A: I specialize in earlobe and cartilage piercings only at this time.
Q: What do you pierce with?
A: I do not use a piercing gun or needle. Instead, I use a gentle, hand-pressured device with a sterile, single-use cartridge. Each cartridge contains a sterilized piercing earring with a longer post and safety back, allowing room for swelling and supporting optimal healing. This device gives me complete control during placement and piercing while helping to minimize trauma to the surrounding tissue. The safety back attaches instantly for a quick, smooth and gentle piercing experience.
Q: How far will you travel?
A: All travel fees are dependent on location from Kinnelon, New Jersey:
0–15 miles: Complimentary travel
16–25 miles: $25
26–35 miles: $50
36–45 miles: $75
Over 45 miles: Custom quote
Q: How often do I have to clean my ear piercing(s)?
A: 2-3 times a day with the solution provided to you.
Q: How young can you get a piercing?
A: I pierce clients of all ages, starting at 2 months old all the way through adulthood! For babies, I ask that they receive their first DTaP vaccine before their appointment.
Q: I want a specific earring style. Can I pick in advance?
A: Yes! Inverness has tons of earring style options to choose from. If you do not see anything you like from my selection, I can order it for you! Options include: hearts, cupcakes, stars, real diamonds, studded bars and so much more!
Q: When can I swim after piercing?
A: I recommend waiting to full submerge under water for 1-2 weeks post piercing.
Q: Is the care for an earlobe piercing the same as cartilage?
A: No. Both earlobe and cartilage piercings should be cleaned 2-3 times a day for the full healing period, unless instructed otherwise. Earlobe piercings must be turned at the time of cleaning; cartilage piercings should NEVER be turned.
Q: I have a metal allergy. What do you recommend?
A: I recommend piercing with titanium earrings for anyone with an allergy history, or family history, of any metal.
Q: What types of payment do you accept?
A: I accept Venmo, Zelle, and payment through an app called Square which accepts all major credit cards.
Q: Can I add on to an appointment last minute?
A: Yes, absolutely! The more the merrier! Additions to a private in-home appointment or special event are always welcome.
